Join artist Diana Carter for the 1st in a series of 3 exciting ADULT WORKSHOPS focused on the art of jewelry-making using everything from gorgeous glass beads to shimmering sea glass. You can take each class on it's own or sign up for all three and receive a discount.

In Around the World: Glass Bead Jewelry, you'll discover wonderful glass bead treasures from all over the world while designing a unique jewelry set to wear home. Learn the properties of Czech glass beads, Austrian crystal, fancy India beads, lampwork glass and more!  $35 members / $45 nonmembers. FMI or to register, please call 825.3504.

May 2nd is a free FIRST FRIDAY at the Art Museum! If you haven't seen the Ansel Adams: Western Exposure exhibit, take one of the last opportunities to view these timeless photographs from Adams' personal collection owned by his family as the show will come to a close on May 4th.

The South Texas Cinémathèque film series welcomes award-winning independent filmmaker Kenneth Price to the Art Museum of South Texas on Friday, May 2, at 7 p.m. to screen his latest documentary The Hip-Hop Fellow. The screening is free and open to the public.
