Geared for children ages K5-12 (and up to 14 years of age for our Camp Comic Con session), our popular summer art camp sessions are offered from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. throughout the summer. Pre-care and after-care are also available for each session. Campers are instructed in a variety of visual and performing arts activities such as drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, pantomime, improvisation and musical theater. On the final day of each camp, an exhibition of the work produced and a public performance is held for families and friends.

*As the continued spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) is still a major concern, please know that, at the Art Museum of South Texas, the health and safety of our campers and
staff is a top priority. We continue to implement several measures to prevent the spread of the virus and protect all our campers. We also want to assure you that AMST staff
and camp leadership are staying up to date on the recommended guidelines from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), the ACA (American Camp Association),
www.texas.gov and our local health department. For the latest on mask requirements for campers, see our message below:

Mask Requirement for Campers

In our capacity as a private non-profit organization, the Art Museum of South Texas will require masks for the children participating in the Fine Art of Summer Camp program. As this population is currently unable to be vaccinated, we are taking all precautions to ensure the safety of all campers. Camp staff will also be required to wear masks. Our general policy of ‘no masks required for those 16 and up that are vaccinated’ still stands for museum visitors. Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions, please contact us at AMSTed@tamucc.edu or call 361.825.3508.
