Lindholm

On view in the Lindholm Gallery through April 2, 2023

Art is often judged on what merits it possesses, oftentimes the craftsmanship seen in the use of materials. In this installation, the work ranges from Fine Art Craft, as can be seen in the masterful work of William Wilhelmi to the incredible detail and compositional spirit of the naturalist bronze sculptures of Kent Ullberg. Both artists, whose works occupy the permanent collection,  reside in the Coastal Bend with numerous examples of what their form of art making reveals. They are being seen in this instance with painters from California, both realist and non-objective, with an early Texas Modernist Michael Frary, with a furniture craftsperson Daniel Ide’s Calla Lily Table and the beautiful simplicity of a functional sculptural platter by Nanci Barnes.
