Genesis in Fire: The Green Mountain Foundry

The Green Mountain Foundry, located 70 miles south of Dallas and operated by artist Harry Giffert, has been a catalyst for a veritable renaissance of bronze casting in Texas. Twelve artists, who live and work in Texas and have produced work at Green Mountain during the past ten years, were featured in Genesis of Fire including Vernon Fisher, Ken Little, and foundry director Harry Giffert. The exhibition was organized by Museum of Fine Arts Houston curator, Alison Greene and Glassel School Gallery director, Joe Havel.
