Collector’s Club Collects: Pursuing a Personal Collection

Since 2001, the Collector’s Club have purchased works of art for the Museum’s permanent collection. Since that inaugural year, this group has accrued works of art through their philanthropy, that the Museum would not otherwise have acquired without their support. The selected art and artists reflect various collections within the nearly 2,000 works in the Art Museum’s holdings. Categories they include are: Spanish Colonial, Western, Wildlife, Contemporary, Modern, and American Craft. Over the years they have travelled together, visiting artist’s studios, private collections, art institutions including recent trips to Amsterdam, Kansas City, Palm Springs and so on, for once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
