The Fine Art of Summer Camp: Cartoon Art, Take 2

Comic Book Art and Creative DramaJoin us to explorethe whimsical world of cartoon drawing in this week-long session of camp. Focusing on exaggeration and action techniques, inking, coloring and more, we’ll draw several well-known cartoon and anime characters, superheroesand video game characters. Then we’ll create our own! Students will also have the choice to create either their own comic strip or a graphic novel page for their favorite book.  In the creative drama portion of the day, we’ll bring our characters to life! General Registration including Non-Members registration will be open March 7th, 2017 at 9:00am.Registration for the Fine Art of Summer Camp 2017 is well underway!  Reserve your space online today as spotsare filling up quickly.  And don’t forget that with a Family Membership, campers will receive up to $25 off their camp tuition. Sibling discounts are also available. Camp brochures are available for download on the home page of the Museum’s website at: www.artmuseumofsouthtexas.org. The camp dayis from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Child-care before and after camp is available for an additional fee.  All sessions are for children ages K5 (must have completed kindergarten in the 2016-2017 school year) to 12. Children are askedto bring their own lunch and snacks; microwave and refrigerator are not available. Each registered child will receive a camp t-shirt.  Cancellationswith full refund minus a $50 processing fee are accepted in writing up to 30 days before the first day of the camp session. Tuition is not refundablefor cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the camp session. Norefunds due to illness or weather conditions although every effort will bemade to reschedule classes canceled due to hurricane threats/conditions.
