Horlock and Ullberg Galleries

The Art and Design faculty at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is a dynamic group of artists. When speaking with the Interim Chair, Louis Katz, it was clear that these months of the pandemic hadn’t slowed the flow of creativity, for himself, or for the other faculty in art and design. The art museum presents their work biennially during the spring and summer semesters. This 2021 installation will be shown in two galleries and will include new faculty, and new works not seen before by these 15 acclaimed artists.

The 2021 Biennial includes the Department of Art: Louis Katz, Chairman, Carey Rote, Ph.D., Art History, Laura Petican, Ph.D., Art History, Ryan O’Malley, Leticia Bajuyo, Jennifer Garza-Cuen, Joe Peňa, Meg Aubrey, David Hill, Lars Roeder, Richard James, and Department of Design: Nancy Miller, Program Coordinator, Andrea Hempstead, Alexandra Canchola, and Joshua Duttweiler. You can “meet” these artists online by visiting our website or by viewing their work and hearing their answers to questions posed to them.
