In the initial exhibition in the Historical Connection series featured English paintings from the Sarah Blaffer Foundation to illustrate major developments in European art history since the Italian Renaissance. During Spring, 1996, the Historical  Connection series continued with an installation of paintings and furniture that addressed events in France between 1650 and 1875.
