We will start by creating Love Bugs out of a cardboard tube and fun craft supplies. Afterwards it’s time for a Valentine’s Day Tea Party. DESCRIPTION:For ages K5-12 \nSaturday\, February 15 \n10:30am – 12pm \nTHE ART OF FAMILY \nFamily and friends are often the people who inspire us the most. For this workshop\, we will use the names of loved ones to create a beautiful piece of art! Come to class with names of family\, friends\, or other people that are important to you and we will make them into a colorful\, patterned piece of art using markers\, pastels\, and other tools. \nThe workshop is inspired by the Art Museum’s new exhibit Home\, Love\, and Loss which delves into the milestones and challenges of family and community life—from birth to aging\, and from the bonds of joy to the fractures of loss. The focus of this session will be our newest exhibitions Home\, Love\, and Loss\, Visionarios: The Art of the Wish\, and The Last 30 Years of Acquisitions  \nWe welcome the volunteer services of our docents and continually seek to build our docent base. Docents provide guided tours in the Museum for children and adults. It is not necessary to have an academic background in art or history to join our program.
