SUMMARY:artRageous: Cirque du Fear (Fundraiser)
DESCRIPTION:WHAT: artRageous: Cirque du Fear fundraiser \nWHEN: Thursday\, June 8\, 2023 from 7:00pm-11:00pm \nWHERE: Art Museum of South Texas (Valet in the Shoreline Turnaround) \nWHY: Your sponsorship or tickets to artRageous help support AMST’s exhibitions\, educational programming\, and outreach into the community. \nCO-CHAIRS: Kylie Cooper & Ema Rodriguez \nStep right up and experience our carnival of frights! \nArtists from Degas to Calder were drawn to and inspired by the circus at varying points in their careers – not just for its spectacle and intriguing imagery\, but for the melancholy\, alienation\, and oddity the circus often represented. Pulling inspiration from the curiosities and imagery depicted in 19th and 20th century circus life\, artRageous: Cirque du Fear will present a three-ring circus filled with inner liberation\, exploration of fears\, and the mystique of entertainment. \nTHIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT!
