Hundreds of family and friends of South Texas student artists gathered at the Art Museum of South Texas on Sunday, February 24 to celebrate the 18th annual Visionarios Youth Art Contest sponsored by Flint Hills Resources Corpus Christi. Over the past 18 years, Flint Hills Resources has provided over $50, 000 cash awards to the students recognized for their artistic excellence. The theme for is year’s contest is “S.T.E.A.M. Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math” illustrates the symbiotic relationship between fine arts and STEM – between AMST and Flint Hills Resources.  AMST is proud to host this annual signature contest bringing awareness to our educational mission as well as how fine art education contributes towards the strength of our future economy.
