Area Art Teacher Professional Development featuring Los Tejanos: Chicano Art from the Cheech Marin CollectionArea elementary, middle and high school art instructors are invited to join us as we examine our newest exhibition Los Tejanos: Chicano Art from the Cheech Marin Collection from the most renowned collection of it’s kind. We’ll hear from local artist and Associate Professor of Art at TAMU-CC, Joe Pena, who will talk about his work in Los Tejanos as well as his career as a Chicano Artist. After lunch, tour the new Creation Station studio spaces and participate in the hands-on portion of the workshop led b local Chicana artist, Mayra Zamora. Wewill finish the afternoon with the chance to win fun door prizes and giveaways. Reservations are required and space is limited for this free workshop.Cost: Free to Area Art Teachers (limited capacity)  Lunch will be provided.
